WELCOME TO FASTPASS
Are you a female lacrosse player who wants to improve your stick work? Improve the pace of your play? Get more touches in a game than you ever have before? Welcome to FastPass.
WHAT IS IT?
FastPass is a mash-up of basketball and lacrosse. Played indoors on a basketball court, the action starts with a jump ball and runs fast and furious with running clock action. With five players on the court, everyone plays offense and everyone plays defense. FastPass is in many ways the Futsal of the lacrosse world. The smaller field of play and fewer players result in more ball handling, improved skill and decision making, and more action overall.
HOW CAN I PLAY?
WinWinSports, the creator of FastPass, introduced an indoor girls’ only league this winter at two locations – one located near Chapel Hill/Durham, and one near Cary/Apex and will offer leagues in Summer 2019. If you are a high school girls’ lacrosse player or an advanced middle school lacrosse player, this is for you.
WHAT IS THE LEAGUE FORMAT?
During each session, teams get running clock games hosted in a round-robin format for a total of 10 league games. Players will be assigned to teams based on school teams, club teams, or random house teams. Teams will have 8-10 players (this is to ensure full rosters in the event of no-shows on a given game night). In the event that our numbers fall short of having true house-league teams for round-robin play, we will create mixed teams each week so that players have the opportunity to see a new “team” for each game. We will round out a smaller format with additional coached curriculum.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Individual fee for participating is $110 which includes a shirt and a ball from our sponsor, SwaxLax, the official ball of FastPass. If you sign up with eight (8) or more of your teammates (club or school), you get a discount of $10 per player ($100 registration fee).
